Welcome to the Alexandra School & Learner Transport Organisation (ASTO). Since our establishment in 1999, we have been dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and affordable transport for school-going children in the Greater Alexandra area. Our vision is to create a transport system that is Reliable, Affordable, and Safe (RAS), ensuring that every child has access to essential transport services that support their social development and future economic growth.

At ASTO, we aim to foster a strong sense of community while advocating for the needs of learners and their families. Our mission, “Transporting the Leaders of Tomorrow, Today,” reflects our commitment to the safety and well-being of the children we serve. As a registered organisation with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) and affiliated with the Gauteng Education Transport Service (GETS), we prioritise quality and accountability in our operations.

We offer services designed to enhance transportation for all learners, collaborating with local authorities to promote safety and accessibility. By joining ASTO, members gain access to valuable resources and can participate in community discussions related to transport issues.

Membership is open to individuals over 18 residing within the Greater Alexandra area, including parents, guardians, and school staff. The application process is simple, requiring a completed form and a joining fee set by the Executive Committee. We uphold a non-discrimination policy, ensuring that all decisions are made without regard to race, gender, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
